Babylon is a state-of-the-art, fully integrated KMS, manufacturing, distribution and finance software suite aimed directly at enterprise level manufacturers, now in its fifth version. Babylon V modules can be used individually or in combinations to meet enterprise requirements. Each application module can be easily tailored to our customer’s unique business processes. Babylon V also provides a knowledge management functionality that is required to capture enterprise knowledge and workers to share information. Some organizational units have a focus mainly on maintaining their information contained in documents of multiple types and make sure that those documents and information be navigated easily through a convenient interface. Here comes the role of the Knowledge Management System (KMS). Our KMS system captures all the different kinds of information existing in the organization and makes it easy for all employees to capture, store and disseminate that information. The knowledge stored in the system is accessible to search parameters and operate in the same manner that the human brain does. It collates, organizes, stores and retrieves information in an effective manner.

Technology

BabylonV is a fully-integrated KMS & ERP system that is based on the Microsoft Platform. The back end runs on MS Windows Advanced Server 2000 hosting MS SQL Server 2000. The front end is developed in any Microsoft development tool (Ms Visual basic, Ms Access, ASP.NET) and runs on MS Windows 2000 or later versions. All of our Web-based reports are written in ASP.NET, which is fully supported by Internet Information Server IIS 5.1

All Back-End functionality is based on Multi Tier.

	BabylonV is a GUI-based ERP system. All messages: diagnostic, debugging, operational, and procedural, are intuitive and easy to understand.
	BabylonV supports a multi-company operation with the ability to generate consolidate reports of key financial information such as trial balance, income sheet, profit/loss, statement of account, etc.
	BabylonV supports up to 3 base currencies and unlimited number of transactional currencies.
	BabylonV supports Unicode. The list of Unicode languages includes Arabic and English.
	BabylonV supports a multiple user operation. When two users edit the same record, conflict resolution is done in order of edit mode.
	Many operations are workflow enabled. This includes Voucher verification, Purchase order, Sales Order, Stock Transactions, Personnel promotions, etc.
	Babylon V is a fully-integrated KMS & ERP system. Under the OOO architecture, Data is entered Once and Only Once. Posting is done in real time.

Performance

	BabylonV can support hundreds of users, given the right hardware
	BabylonV is bandwidth friendly, being a true Multi Tier KMS & ERP system. It operates over low bandwidth links such as modems, frame relays, ISDN, etc. Typical transactions take less than 5 seconds to display.
	Most reports take less than 10 seconds to display, given a whole year worth of data, and given the proper hardware and network architecture
